The perfect suit without a professional tailor … Is that even possible?

Do you need a tailor?

Have you already realized that you need a professional and modern tailor? No? Think again because the very next question will put you in doubt.

  • You need a modern tailor if you wonder how James Bond fights, flights and rolls over the floor while french kissing his heroine.
  • You need a modern tailor if despite your diet plan your colleagues feel you’re getting obese.
  • You need a good tailor if your shoes get dirty too soon that you often feel they need a wipe.
  • You need a good tailor if after the job you feel that you won’t get fresh and feel easy going without changing the suit.
  • And above all this…!!!!

You also need a good tailor if your wife fights with you too often.

It seems that all the problems of the world can be solved only if you change your tailor. You may call it an exaggeration. True, it is. But it’s also true that most of the people do not quite estimate the advantages for having a professional tailor. Simply, the fitting measures the way you look, you feel, you move, the way you are perceived and remembered. There’s no doubt in the old saying by Shakespeare:

“Apparel oft proclaimeth a man”.

  1. In some cases, yes, but you’d need a suit that fit pretty well in the first place, and you’d need the artelations to be the right kind.A little more detail: if you can get a suit that’s a good fit in the jacket shoulders and the crotch/hips area of the trousers, you might be able to get something pretty close to a custom-fitted look out of it. Too much looseness in the shoulders or the pants is hard to conceal, and any visible bagginess pretty much gives away that a suit isn’t tailored.Issues of sleeves and trouser legs being too long are pretty easy to fix, as long as there’s enough spare cloth if lengthening is needed. It’s things being too tight or too lose that’s hard to fix.So if you’re short on funds and can get an off-the-rack suit that fits comfortably in the bulky parts of your body, it may be possible to adjust the smaller details until it looks and feels almost custom. But if you have an unusually-sized or -shaped body, or you’re an unusual weight for your height, you’re unlikely to get that good of a fit without real custom tailoring. +28Was this answer helpful?
